life insurance

odd thing to see but on the way to brunch today i noticed about 15 life insurance companies. i travel Irvine Blvd. numerous times but all the different companies stood out to me today: Allstate, State Farm, privately owned ones. when i thought about it, it made sense. insurance companies promote assuredness, safety and comfortability; three things people want. i think it's because they know subconciously that life lived by themselves is dangerous and filled with hairpin turns so they cling to anything that offers stability. why is that better than living passionately for the kingdom we were initially created for? taking risks. jumping into unknown territory. discovering new paths that are flooded with light. i'll take the later 3 over the feeling of safety any day. don't get me wrong, i think insurance is a great thing but the motives behind why people pay hundreds of dollars for the just-in-case is what has gotten jacked up. just some food for thought.
