"Blessed are the pure in heart,

for they will see God." - Jesus

This doesn't mean ONCE you have a pure heart THEN you will see God.  

It means as you ardently SEEK after a pure heart, 

a heart that is not soiled by anything, 

God will meet you there and show you his greatest characteristic: 

LOVE.
